Is it safe to give online?
Yes. Commissioned's giving is monitored and controlled 24/7 by Vanco services. In many ways, giving online is actually safer than writing a check because an electronic gift cannot be lost or stolen.
From what types of accounts can I give?
You can give online from your checking or savings account as well as from your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
Are there any fees if I give online?
No. You will not pay any fees for an online gift. While Commissioned is charged a small fee for online gifts, online giving can actually be a more cost efficient way for the church to process donations because of the electronic filing.
Can I make a one-time contribution?
Yes. You can either make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift. For all types of online giving, you schedule the date for when the gift(s) come out of your designated account.
If I want to set up a recurring gift, what are my options for frequency of my gift?
For recurring gifts, you have the option of giving weekly or monthly.
Can I change my personal information or the recurring gift's amount and/or frequency once I have set up my account?
Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in using your user name and password to make the desired changes.
Can I review my donation history online?
Yes. You are able view the complete history of your online contributions. Once you have created an account, you will able to contribute immediately.
Will I still receive regular contribution statements from Commissioned?
Yes. Your online donation history does not replace your regular contribution statements from Commissioned. This is simply a quick and convenient way for you to see your online giving history. Commissioned will continue to mail regular contribution statements to your home for tax filing purposes.
When will contributions be taken from my account?
Contributions will be taken from your specified account within 48 hours of the date you decide. This time frame allows the contribution to process through your bank and the church’s bank. If the date of your contribution falls on a weekend or a holiday, the transaction will be initiated on the next banking day.
Can I designate my gift to a particular cause?
Yes, Commissioned currently has two designated areas of giving: General Fund and Mission Fund. You can designate your contribution toward one of these specific funds or split it however you feel led. We may also add additional causes at specific times throughout the year for which you can give.
How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution amount, the start date you specified for the gift's donation to the church, and a confirmation number to have for your records.
